Applying Eye Shadow – For That Killing Look

When we see top models electrifying the ramp with their dazzling looks, we assume that they are blessed with such stunning looks and that we cannot match up to them whatever we do. But that’s not all true. Though some of them are born with those killing looks, some are like most of us – simple and plain. Then what transforms those plain looking damsels into beauty Goddesses? It’s the make-up.
Applying make-up in a right way makes a lot of difference in the way one looks. And for those mesmerising eyes, the eye shadow plays the whole trick. So if you want to get close to those nail biting good looking models, just follow the following eye shadow tips and see the results.
Tips on How to Apply an Eye Shadow

For a beautiful effect, blend the eye shadow properly. Use a base colour, a highlighter and a main colour together. While the highlighter highlights the crease, the main colour is used for the lid. Now, how you blend them so that they come out to be supporting each other is the key. Make sure that the colour blending is right or you would end up being a point of ridicule. Most people learn the art of blending by playing with their make up. Use a tested and tried formula for the big day if you are still a beginner.

Avoid using too much of shadow for it may bring dramatic results. Do not use the shadow beyond the brow bone. If you are keen on shadowing the brow bone, keep the deep colours away.

Making proper use of the highlighter as it can add up to the oomph factor. Use a dark colour but the one that merges well with the main colour.

For bringing the best of your eyes, select the base colour carefully. Use primers if you want to wear a look for a long time, say the entire day. Primmer supports the make up for hours together. The look of the eyes develops on the base colour. So if you haven’t got the foundation right, do not expect great results.

Do not play with the shimmer unless you know how to use it. Though it helps accentuating the eyes, it also makes lines and wrinkles prominent.

If you have bought a shadow colour which you feel is too bold for your teeny eyes to carry, try mixing it up with a light colour. If you go by experience, the best shadow colours come up with the right mixing.

For brighter looking eyes, use white shadow near the tear duct, on the inside of the eye.
Play safe and use popular colours and trends in the beginning. Once you learn the art of using a shadow, set up your own trends and wear them with confidence. Make sure that the blush, foundation and the lip colour you choose, blends well with the eye make up.
