No because the color comes out when it is wet with detergent. Like when you color hair, and when you wash it the first few times, color comes out when you shampoo, but it doesn’t come off when your hair is dry … know what I mean? :)

    Hi PrettybyCritty! …
Hi PrettybyCritty! Thanks for the tips. Are you dipping the ferrules in the water? (just curious) For my synthetic brushes, I usually use a bit of Woolite to wash, and add a tiny bit of fabric softener (like Downy) to the rinse water to keep them soft. For my natural brushes, I use baby shampoo to wash and a bit of high-grade conditioner to the rinse water. I’m going to use some of your tips next time. Thanks again!

Great tips! I don’t dip the ferrules, just up to them. I just use shampoo and sometime conditioner (when I am really nice) as I am sensitive to a lot of detergents. I bet Woolite would be great to get rid of that new brush smell!! :)

i heard some makeup artists suggest the wetones antibacterial wipes for the daily cleaning…i use those and they seem to do a great job! i especially like them because you can buy them in the big canister. i’m always scared about bacteria with my super-sensitive skin, so i thought i’d throw that suggestion out there :)
