This is a great vid, thanks!
Do you think, at some point, you could do a few videos focusing on eye color, and what specific shadow colors (or styles) look best on what color eye. Thank you for your time!

    I love this look …
I love this look and wear it all the time, but for some reason I cannot get myself to wear the red lip. I have a hard time finding a red that is not too pink. Also, could you please do a video on how to apply makeup to an older model. I work in a day spa and do a lot of makeup apps to older, more middle aged moms and have the hardest time with it. ??? Majority of them have dark, deep set eyes and don’t like the shimmery look. I never know what to use to help them pop more. Please help! :)

    That is a great statement!!!

I love it. So true. I usually say it’s a colour that has to be worn with conviction. It’s completely well articulated- you have to wear it, not be worn by it. Thank you for that.

Red lipstick is a statement, I think. You have to wear it, not be worn by it. I was told that women use red lipstick for them and for other women, not for man. However I know some man who love red lipstick!

Thanks for replying to my comment! :) What I meant was that make-up is more for our enjoyment than for men’s. A Valentine’s Day look that uses red lips proves it because it makes us feel special and confident, whereas my husband would be horrified because he couldn’t kiss me.
Sorry I wasn’t more clear about that. I love your tutorials and watch them obsessively. O_O

Really?! …. but I’m wearing red lipstick right now!!!

I think red lipstick is a kind of colour that must be worn with conviction. You have to be confident in your choice, and wear it with your head held high! I wear red lipstick when I want to feel special!

This is such a lovely, sexy look. I love it! for Valentines or any other occasion. I love the way you blend all the colours together. Great skill! The look reminds me of some 1950s technicolor magazine covers! Love the look with both lip colours!

  22. emptylott says:

    This video really …
This video really reminds me that make-up, after all, is for women. Of course, right? I know. It’s beautiful and sexy and fun but I can imagine how horrified my husband would be if I wore lipstick like that on Valentine’s Day!

    I have the same …
I have the same problem. I have found that L’oreal have the best pale colours, particularly if you use the ‘True Match’ range, W1 Porcelain is almost my skin colour, just a bit to dark. As long as you blend well along the neck line, you can get away with it. I have also used goth makeup and blended it with normal makeup to come up with my natural colour. Covergirl also goes fairly pale. But this is in Australia, and the colours differ between places. So much for being the ‘Sun-burnt Country’.
